About Us
Equity Events is a Brisbane based company which has specialised in organising investment events for the mining, energy, exploration and industrial sectors for over a decade.

Through the longstanding success of our annual Noosa Mining Investor Conference, Equity Events has established a reputation as a provider of quality events. Conference presentation spots are keenly sought after and feedback from participants has always been extremely positive. Our formula is simple. We connect well-credentialed companies with a large audience of keen investors, stockbrokers, financial advisers and fund managers.

Equity Events has recently expanded its conference portfolio with the launch of The Social Summit, Australia's first conference for content creators and brands. Founded in 2024, the inaugural conference took place on February 6, 2025, at The Rydges in Melbourne and sold out. Building on this success, we’re bringing The Social Summit to Sydney on Friday, September 19, at the Manly Pacific Hotel.
Meet the Team
PHIL DICKINSON
Conference Convenor

Phil is a mining engineer with experience in both open cut and underground mining. Phil, also an ex-stockbroker, launched the Noosa conference in 2011 and it continues to grow and develop each year under his guidance. Phil has an extensive network of contacts and relationships in the stockbroking, investing and mining industries throughout Australia.
DES HALL
Conference Manager

Des is a communication professional who, during a 30-year career, directed the marketing programs of six government agencies including Tourism, Sport and Racing, and Queensland Health. He has managed the Noosa Mining Conference since 2017.
AMY DICKINSON
Business Development Manager & Co-Founder (The Social Summit)

Amy is a dedicated Events Manager with ten years of industry experience. Amy has a background in Marketing and Advertising, and has been involved in the family business since the first Noosa Mining Conference in 2011. Amy joined the Equity Events team in 2023 as Business Development Manager and co-founded The Social Summit in 2024 alongside her sister, Hannah.
HANNAH DICKINSON
Co-founder (The Social Summit)

Hannah is a global equities analyst and a portfolio manager at one of Australia’s largest fund managers. She has a deep understanding of the consumer sector after spending a decade researching the world’s largest brands, from L’Oreal to Louis Vuitton. The Social Summit is a maternity leave passion project / side hustle that plays to her interests in brand and business strategy

About the Events
Noosa Mining
The Noosa Mining Conference is a highly valued and informative event held twice a year at Peppers Noosa Resort on the top end of Queensland's beautiful Sunshine Coast.

The Conference features ASX listed resource companies showcasing and selling their investment credentials via an exhibition and formal presentations.
​
Designed to give investors, brokers and fund managers a better understanding of current investment opportunities in the mining, energy and exploration sectors, the Conference brings senior company executives and investors together in a relaxed yet sophisticated setting.

The Noosa Mining Investor Conference is considered by many as a 'must attend' event in the Australian resources sector. In July 2024, 65 listed companies made presentations and/or exhibited and attracted over 2500 delegates either in-person or online.
The Social Summit
Founded by sisters Hannah and Amy Dickinson in 2024, The Social Summit is Australia's first conference for content creators and brands. It's a place to expand your audience, enhance your business skills and connect with industry players.

​Our inaugural took place at The Rydges, Melbourne on 6 February 2025. The event sold out with 500 registrations and brought together the brightest minds in the social media and digital marketing. The one day conference showcased presentations from brands like TikTok, Spotify, Nala, Chain Social, Luxury Escapes and Frank Body and featured creators including Sam Wood, Gemma Dimond, Jasmine TXO, Lady Brains and Alison Rice.

The Social Summit is a place to connect, create and collaborate IRL over cutting edge conversations at the intersection of content and commerce. Our next event is taking place in Sydney on the 19th of September, 2025, at The Manly Pacific Hotel.
Brisbane Mining Investor Conference
The Brisbane Mining Investor Conference (BMIC) is an investor event launched in 2018 to provide investors, brokers and fund managers with a better understanding of current investment opportunities in Australia's mining, energy and exploration sectors.

Showcasing a mix of ASX listed micro to mid market cap mineral and energy companies, Brisbane Mining allows senior mining executives to connect with investors and sell their company's investment credentials via a formal exhibition and presentation program.
​
Formerly known as the Australian Energy and Minerals Investor Conference, Brisbane Mining is now on track to becoming another of the ‘must attend’ and mutually beneficial investor events on the circuit.
